Credit card paid up, bad report

We had problems paying our credit card, we then later could pay our card finish and Standard bank gave us discount paying our account. This was 2012. Then now in 2015 we app**** for a credit card absa but Standard bank has given us bad review because of the discount amount they gave us. Our name should be clear but they have not cleared it on our records. We tried to phone for a paid up letter and get send from one department to another, please can someone call us and help us with this problem.
