Credit card limit increase

I have had the credit card with this bank for years. The bank sent an sms stating that I qualify for a credit card limit increase. A month later the bank called and I spoke to their consultant and proceeded with the credit card limit increase. The supporting documents were sent throughband the consultant said my application was successful and the increase will be loaded within 7 working days. Its been 12 days now and I haven't received any feedback. I have called the bank and they are failing to tell me whats going on. I don't understand how really this bank operates because if I was approved then what is the hold ul! Why was I promised something and be left in the dark. Why can't the consultants at the call centre not be able to pick up information on my profile? I am seriosly not happy with this as I had already made some financial decisions that I wouldn't have made should this bank have not given me false promise. I feel the bank is so *********** and I have made three calls already with regards to this and still I haven't been helped or given an explanation on what is going on, all I am being told is to wait and they don't even know how long to wait
