credit card insurance claim

i have a standard bank (blue bean) credit card which was issued by Edcon, when the agreement between edcon and standard bank fell away i received a letter signed by Alan Hales ( head: SBSA Card) and Natanya Laurie ( Hollard Life) stating that the account protection plan (APP) that I had on the credit card through edcon would still be valid.

I was retrenched from Edcon on the 08 March 2016, I went to sandard bank on 09 March 2016 and filled in the approiate claim form, Retrenchment / redundancy claim, with all documentation that was needed and submitted it there. I asked if I need to carry on paying my account and I was told that because there was a claim in it was not neccessary to pay further.

Now 3 months later I am still having hassels of this claim that has not been paid. In the intrem I have been speaking to both Hollard and Standard Bank trying to find out what is going on . Now eventually Hollard has made the payment to Standard Bank but tStandard Bank cant pick up the payment I have spoken to Standard Bank and they keep on refering me back to Hollard, the payment from Hollard was made on 20 June 2016 and Standard Bank still cant find it. I am sick and tired of phoning both parties trying to sort this out, why can they not speak to eachother. Another sore point is that now I oue R755 rand more than what the originaal balance was, eventhough with all the phone calls, referance numbers and xeplinations of whaat is happening there has not been a stop put on my account to stop accuring intrest and bank charges.

I FEEL THAT I SHOULD NOT BE HELD LIABLE FOR THE OUTSTANDING AMOUNT AS THIS COULD HAVE BEEN AVOIDED HAD BOTH HOLLARD AND STANDARD BANK GOT THEIR ACTS TOGETHER AND SORTED THIS OUT, THIS IS THREE MONTHS LATER.

Please is there someone that can help.
