Standard bank sold me an additional credit card some years ago (when they were very pushy about these things) - and I accepted, if only to have it as a spare.<br> <br> Subsequently, ***** was detected on my main card, and the card was cancelled and re-issued. I then switched to using my spare card.<br> <br> Last week, I was in the branch to draw some money, and thought I'd pick up the new card while I was there, only to be informed that my card has \gone dormant"from non-use and I need to RE-APPLY for the card if I want to use it!!<br> <br> What the hell? The card has a POSITIVE BALANCE!!!<br> <br> I've been a customer for 33 years"
