Contravention of POPI act

I have been banking with Standard Bank for 9 years. And from the beginning I have only ever requested that my bank statements be emailed to me but to my dismay after almost being de*****ed I learn that Standard bank has been posting my bank statement. I called to inquire about this today and spoke to a consultant called Olo 15 minutes into the call the call gets cut. In the 15 minutes that I was on the phone all Olo could tell me is that the statements were being emailed to my old email address but no statements were being posted but i can strongly dispute this because I am sitting with my January statement in my hand. I want to know why my bank statements are being posted as this is not a secure way to deliver such personal information hence my request to have my statements emailed to me. Please can I have answers as i feel like this is a huge contravention of the POPI act and I will pursue legal action if need be. STOP post my bank statement, I have never asked for that!!!
