Contravention of POPI Act

Standard Bank Northmead Square, staurday 15 Sept 2018 - we were totally shocked by the blatant contravention of the POPI Act by the consultant, Sponono, who was assisting us . Sponono gave us forms to sign but on the reverse side of each page was the contract and all details of another client. When we queried this with Sponono we got the answer "we don't have any paper, waiting for our order to be delivered...anyway we have to all conserve hey?" she did not seem at all perturbed by her contravention. On informing her of the contravention of the POPI Act she had no idea as to what we were referring to. We offered to go and buy a ream of paper for Standard Bank from Checkers. Sponono spent nearly 10 minutes going through the entire bank looking for eight blank pages to reprint our document on as we refused to have another client's details on our documentsl. If this is what Standard Bank does to one clients details, we can only imagine the exposure of other clients, including our own, details. We almost closed our account immediately and are still seriously considering doing so!
