Consultant negligence

On the 7th of March 2019 I took a loan with Standard and Lindi Manamela was the consulted who assisted me to get the loan and I told her that I want debit orders to go through on the 5th of every month as the funds will be coming from a different source not my salary. To my surprise in April when I looked at the contract I noticed that the debit order date it's the 25th of every month and I reached out to her via email and I asked her why is the debit order date the 25th instead of 5th and she said to me she changed it on system, from there I continued paying the loan without any fail. To my surprise standard bank started calling me that my account is errors / behind with one month because I changed the debit order date whereas I did not this was an error from the consultant that assist when I took this contract. I have been going back and forth with consultants regarding this issue and no one is able to assist me. Why must my account be in errors because of the consultant who did not do her Job and now the cover that I took with loan is going to lapse because of this and I need to pay extra interest because of this.

I'm very disappointed with standard bank lending division because they make this now like it's my fault I have been told many times that I need to pay the errors of one month immediately. If this can not be resolved I'm going to close all my accounts with standard bank and find and bank that will tarnish a client credit profile and I'm going take this to the Bank ombudsman of South Africa

Dear Lindi

My name is Phumeza Happiness Twalo, my ID number is ***

Contact number ***.

You assisted me with the application form for Personal Loan and when I checked my agreement today you put the debit order date as 25 of every month however I told you that the debit order date must be the 5th of every month.

Please change this ASAP to the 5th of every month I don't want a debit order that is going to bounce.

I need this sorted ASAP.

Good Day

Please note that the debit order has been amended on the system. The contract will have the debit order date as discussed since it dictates your salary date.

Please note I do not have access to emails , please do not hesitate to contact ***for further assistance.
