Confused as hell
1. On the 19th of March I was told that my balance on the vehicle account was R13166.00. 2. On the 25th of March I made a payment R13200.00 3. On the 10 of April I called Standard Bank to enquire how much the “settlement amount” was so we could close off the account. 4. The lady I spoke to advices me that infact I overpaid the account and as a results they needed to refund me R1093.57. After the refund I need to call to arrange delivery of my vehicle registration papers. 5. 25th April that amount was refunded into my standard bank savings account. 6.13 May I get an sms that same account is in areas for R 1023.00. 7. I immediately call Standard bank a lady by the name Pertunia advices me not to make payment yet as they are still investigating what happened.
So as it stands I am waiting for Standard bank to either call me and say “we refunded you by mistake, therefore pay back the refunded amount “ but instead I get a call from a debt collector threatening to repossess my car. My issues is there a query on record but instead I’m harassed by the debt collector.
