Conflicting information

Good day, On Wednesday 05 May 2021 I contacted the Standard Bank Debt con department to ask them how their debt consolidation programme works.

I spoke to a consultant on the phone who was very nice she advised that prior to covid their criteria was that you should have 2 or more loans with Standard or a home loan in order to be considered for consolidation.

She then also advised they received feedback in last week from management that this criteria now changed and they are looking at all requests coming through on a case by case situation. She then advised she would gladly email me all the forms and that I can complete and send through to your offices . I completed a welcome pack as well as my fiance . He has a loan with Standard bank currently. We then got feedback yesterday saying we dont meet the criteria because we dont have 2 loans with Standard Bank or a homeloan. So now I am confused !! You say you look at it case by case and your criteria has been amended but you still use the same criteria. No one even bother to ask us if we will to move our transactional accounts over if the consolidation is approved because we are doing this to be in a better financial standing to apply for a home loan which will eventually come to Standard bank as well.

I understand that there is criteria in place but why tell one consultant it has changed and another it has stayed the same . Why is there ************** for people that dont have accounts with Standard bank.
