Sirs COMPLIMENT TO EERSTE RIVER MANAGER 1. Further to mine of 21/11/2021 you should know I actually typed a further “scorcher” to you advising I was closing my 16-year account arising from frustration with further failings in service from Standard Bank systems; the current brain-dead [a generous attribute”] jingle ”it can be” begging the question “what ...can be.... what?” lending nothing to calm my irritation.

2. More particularly it cannot “be” rational, nor reasonable, to expect customers to live with having to wait 1.5 hours – in a stationery bum-queue – before coming face-to-face with a consultant with the simplest query. The Corona-19 virus excuse having worn thin - long ago!

3. IT CANNOT BE queries having the consultant peering endlessly in a monitor – for a further 1.5 hours.

4. As it happens I remembered the Branch Manager has giant capabilities exceeding her diminutive stature. Upon calling upon her she [once again] overcame Standard Bank ponderous systems to resolve my immediate problem – which still took a hour.

5. I close with the view it being an insult to staff of her calibre finding herself faced with such a ponderous system.

Further to previous complaints about Standard Bank system failures I regret having to bring to your URGENT attention borrowing from latest jingle [“it can be”] the following “CAN not be”; recent manifest collapse of its Internet Banking facility failures, leaving me unable to pay beneficiaries from my account,; 2. MORE PARTICULARLY I can no longer transfer payment to a “designated beneficiary” in order to provide instant proof of such payment thereby facilitating immediate service delivery. relying upon internet facilities at 2.1 his “device” on site,. 2.2 my own “device” on my desktop 2.3 Standard Bank as proved at Eerste River Branch; despite the most valiant efforts of your highly capable [“little giant”] Branch Manager Ms “Bulelwa” 3. MORE PARTICULARLY FURTHER reliance upon any and all aforesaid devices, totally irrationally, inconceivable and inconveniently [amounting to an affront and insult to the advent of advanced internet banking]. requiring .. 3,1 the device first being laboriously reconciled with my “profile”: at Standard Bank; 3,2 my being arrogantly embarrassed and inconvenienced compelled to bring aforesaid about in order to continue as previously without complications arising; 3.3 my being arrogantly further compelled to rely upon a “smart phone” for aforesaid; being an affront to, violation of, my freedom of choice; 3.5 Standard Bank furthermore arrogantly assuming aforesaid “unreasonable and unjustifiable” right as expanded in sec 36 of Constitution. 4. As URGENT transfer of funds is required from my desk-top facility as before, without reliance upon a “smart-phone” [which I neither have not intend to acquire], your URGENT attention to this unacceptable situation will be appreciated.
