COMPLAINT NOT ATTENDED TO

I had a cheque account with Standard Bank and unfortunately I became unemployed in March this year and I couldnt meet my debit orders. Yes I was aware that my account is overdrawn and I tried to deposit something but it didnt cover the arrears. I got a job in May and I went to Standard Bank Melville because I wanted to activate my account again and my salary to be deposited into the account so I needed the letter confirming my banking details but I was told that they cannot give me the letter as my account is overdrawn. I explained to the consultant what happened and that I want to cover the arrears and that can be done only if my salary goes into that account he told me he cannot assist me. I had to go and open another account at Capitec. I never received any call, mail nor message from Standard Bank regarding my cheque account. Last month I received an email from MBD Attorneys stating that I have a standard bank loan and I am owing R 2 430.00. I phoned them to find out and they told me that its about my cheque account. I asked them how come their client never contacted me regarding this and they referred me to Standard Bank. On the 20th of October I sent an email to Standard Bank regarding this matter and Lerato Ntshekisang responded asking me for my ID number and I responded. I got a response saying by the 26th of October I will get a response regarding my complaint and the ref number given was ********** to date I havent received anything from Standard Bank and MBD is harassing me for payment. on the 4th of November I sent an email to follow up and also advised that MBD is harassing me for payment and I never received any response from them. I made a call today and was on the line for long and they advised that they will call me back in 15 minutes time till now no communication from Standard Bank. I find this very frustrating let alone inconveniencing. I believe before any account gets handed over the client should be contacted instead of just handing it over and make me pay double what i originally owed. Please assist.

Hello the matter has not yet been resolved. Megan's response didnt solve the problem and I responded to it yesterday and she hasnt responded to me yet. I refuse to pay legal fees because of Standard Bank's incompetence. I can pay for the overdraft if I may call it however I am not going to pay for the legal fees. what is strange is when you wanted me to take the funeral things and life covers you phoned me on my cellphone and even sent me emails but when it comes to contacting me regarding that account you claim you do not have the correct numbers. Did you send me an email regarding that account?
