COMPLAINT against Standard Bank Pinetown

I am very disappointed in the service we have received from Standard bank Pinetown branch. There were funds paid into my old savings account which was closed and when I called Standard bank to redeem my funds to correct account it was confirmed over the phone on Thursday the 19th of January 2023 that the account was closed and that I needed to come in and see customers service to assist with transferring funds back to my active account. I arrived at the bank on Saturday the 21st of January and was told that this account was actually opened again and given to another client. So my funds were received by the new client. I spoke to Brandon Naidoo who said that they will have to try and get hold of the client so he can transfer the funds back to me. After I have submitted the proof of payment with references proving the funds belongs to me. On Monday the 23rd of January my wife had to email Brandon with the proof and reference where he was suppose to get back to me. He had to escalate the query to a team leader Phumelele Ndaba who called me in the afternoon to say that they still have not reach the client and I asked if they don't reach the client what would the next step be and she could not answer me. I then asked to speak to a branch manager. I was put trough Thokozani Nsibande which was suppose to be a branch manager but on the email that Brandon send me it states he is also a team leader. So it does not look like Standard bank Pinetown has a clue who they work with and what their titles are in the branch. At the end Thokozani still has not assisted and my funds still not paid back. I eventually told Thokozani that if they get hold of the client to tell him to keep my money as a gift cause Standard bank is useless to assist getting it back. I am also closing my account and moving to another bank for a better service. I wouldn't recommend this Bank to anyone in the future.
