Closing Account

After complaining for a year about the Bank not closing my account, and subsequently reporting it here on Hello Peter, I was contacted by Standard bank. The matter was resolved to their satisfaction. Never mind money deducted for service I was not using or funds payable on an account that did not exist.<br> <br> At least it is closed. The reason for the delay in responding is that when I closed my account, it took them a year to start phoning me and demanding money.<br> <br> I have requested an apology from their debt collecting agency but that would be like pulling teeth. So I am happy the account is closed and that I have not had a call all year.<br> <br> At least its something. Will definately not reccommend them, because of this experience. but to each its own
