Closed account in overdraft

After being a Standard bank customer my entire life it was very disappointing when Standard bank could not offer me the best Rate when it came to my home loan (First time buyer). Unfortunately I had to change banks to get a home loan elsewhere saving me mega bucks. First I cancelled my Std bank credit card only to find out I cannot get my R46 balance as their minimum transaction is R50. So they closed my account taking R46 from me. Good riddance I thought. Then they could not close my Std bank current account because I had a balance of R250 left. It had to be R0 the consultant said. I had to hang up the phone. Transfer the R250 to my new bank. Call Std bank again, wait for 10 min, and finally close my Std bank account. Nope. I could not close the account as Std bank monthly fee was to be charged in arrears and thus my account would have a negative balance in future and I could not close the account. Obviously I was furious, but then Std bank agreed to write off the amount due to their mistake. Now I get an sms stating my (CLOSED) account is in overdraft. I call the number to be put on hold for 30min and then I'm cut off by Std bank. Some one needs to sort this out!
