Close student loan

Such a hassle trying to close a student loan. My last payment was in January and went to a branch so I can get a paid up letter at the end of January and was given a reference number. I was never sent the letter. In July my account is debited incorrectly so I called the contact centre and I’m told they will process a refund then they give me another reference number. I call to follow up on this case and I’m told the query was closed because they don’t deal with student loans through the contact center. They don’t bother to inform me, I have to keep calling even though they say they’ll call me with feedback. I then go to the cresta branch on Saturday and I’m assisted by Thabo, he says I’ll get the refund immediately if I open a bank account. I decide on the Mymo account and he asks me if I don’t want a credit card and I say no. I never consented to him doing a credit check and now I have a credit enquiry on my report, I also didn’t get the account closed or the refund because of some error in the system.

I need my money back, the account closed and the credit enquiry removed. I’m just being given the runaround, does anyone know how to close a student loan at standard bank?
