Close My Credit Card---Why it takes 10 days to do this--I dont understand !!!!!!

How long does it take to close a credit card. Settlement letter received from Standard Bank /Paid the full amount . Mailed them numerous times .Called them numerous times and in the end my credit card has not been closed. Next thing would be bank charges deducted from available funds and then I have to pay again. Today is 31 Jan 2021 -Payment was done on 21 Jan 2021 so that is ten days to close an account. Why!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

I do not understand why I have to phone so many times to tell you to close my credit card. I don't know why I do not get any response from re tensions department. Every time I call I am asked if I want to close my credit card account. How many times do I need to say yes I do.This is pathetic service.
