Close account asap

Hi I went to your Randburg CBD branch to close my cheque account as I haven't had a proper banker for the beginning - I have moved from one *********** banker to the next- hence I decided to move to another bank. I spoke to some lady called Nthabiseng who refused to close the account apparently there's some outstanding transactions on the account which she told me I must wait until the merchants banks. I last swiped my cards 2 to 3 days ago. How the hell would I know when these merchants are going to bank in order for these transactions to clear. I want this account closed asap. Should there be any bank charges on this account from today I will not be liable for them as you insist on keeping the account open.
