Check your sharebrokers calculations

<p>I recently received a dividend on which I should have paid 15% tax. Thank goodness I checked the amount deducted as it turned out that they had deducted 27% tax. Strangely, I thought that they would have picked up their own error and fixed it but, no I had to point it out to them and am patiently waiting for it to be corrected. Had I not done my check, I would have lost a substantial sum (in my book) which they would presumably just have paid over to SARS. Let's see if they correct it, how long it takes and if I get any sort of apology. And this all happened just after they had been selected Top Stockbroker of 2016!!</p>
