Charging to send a credit card statement

I have a Standard Bank Gold Credit Card, which I've had for over 20 years. Monthly statements (always paid in full) are emailed to me on the 1st every month. Not having received my March statement yet, I called the credit card division this morning and requested them to resend it as I am going overseas and haven't received their statement yet. When the statement didn't arrive, I called back & was advised that as they had emailed the statement on the 1st April, to resend it would result in a charge of R35! Firstly, I haven't received the statement and have checked every possible corner of my email, even going into webmail, to see if the mail was hidden away somewhere. It is not. Secondly, I'm trying very hard to ascertain what I owe so that I can pay the bill, & for this I have to call them twice and pay R35? when they haven't delivered a statement in the first place? This is the only account I have with Standard Bank, & shortly it'll be transferred to another bank. After 20 years, with a substantial credit limit,Standard Bank values me so little they'll charge R35 for an emailed statement, I'll quite happily accept a credit card from their competition & close Standard Bank
