Cash finance charge

These people are charging me what they call cash finance charge as well as finance charge for my credit card. How do they expect me to finish paying off my credit card if they make me pay for three charges namely credit insurance policy, finance charge and cash finance charge? I feel trapped with a debt i can’t seem to afford. These charges came out of nowhere they were never part of my initial credit agreement.

Dear Akona,

Thank you for your reaching out to us.

The credit card is meant for swipe and online transactions.

Interest (cash finance charge) is charged on all cash related transactions namely ATM cash withdrawals, cash advances from branches, electronic account payments, inter account transfers, the purchase of travellers cheques, as well as petrol purchases, from each transaction date to the day before the respective debits are paid (This charge will appear on your statement every month until you settle the cash transaction you made).

Kindly be advised that all future cash transactions will incur daily interest, that will be charged when your statement closes.

We hope this clarifies your concerns.

 Kindest regards
