***** Case Declined with no explanation!

So on the 2nd of September, I discovered that R2000 was withdrawn out of my account. I couldn't understand what had happened because I had not used the account for any transactions.

On the 3rd September, another R1000 was withdrawn from my credit card. Mind you, Standard Bank does not send any notication that there is activity on your credit card. So I immediately phone Standard Bank to let them know that there is *****ulent activity on my account. They tell me I would receive feedback within 7 business days. The week came and went without any communication. 2 weeks in, I decide to call them to find out what is happening. The person I spoke to tells me that the case is pending and he will escalate and I will get feedback within 24 hours. The time came and went, again.

Yesterday I give them another call for an update, the lady I spoke tells me the case is still pending, she will escalate and I will receive feedback within 8 hours. Later yesterday I receive a call thay I couldn't pick up because I was busy, this is after workimg hours mind you.

Today, I call them again to ask for feedback. I was told my case was declined with no reason whatsoever. Why couldn't they write an email explaining how the money was taken out of my account without any of my cards and the reason why they are declining me getting the R3000 which was taken *****ulently without my consent!

Anyway, I have learned my lesson. Standard Bank was my first bank to use in 2015 when I opened my account. It's a shame that I will be closing it once that credit card is paid off.
