Card taken from Atm and used

I had to get an account balance from the STD Bank ATM, all their ATMs were down due to alterations, the security guard said there weren't any other at the Pavilion, I decided to get a balance from the FNB ATM.<br> as I inserted my card I was harassed by some African Gentlemen and tried to cancel the transaction the atm refused to cancel and asked for a phone number, I continually tried to cancel and the atm would not return the card, this card was subsequently retrieved after I left ( thinking that the atm had swallowed the card) by the African gentleman and used at a bottle store in Berea Durban, before I got home to report a lost card, Standard Bank acknowledges the ********** use of my card, but refuses to reimburse me cause I did not contact them before the card was used, I had no airtime so could not phone and also no personal details, so had to get home to phone the loss in, I live forty minutes drive from the pavilion,and by that time the card had been used, but that's no excuse, very disillusioned with Standard Bank, FNB have footage of the harassment and the guy coming to retrieve the card, but this is not good enough for Standard Bank,
