card paid off & bank ignored request to close acco

Following a year of trying yo resort a mess a bank caused on my profile, on 05. February 2015 I paid off the account in the attorney's account that bank with standard bank and requested for paid us letter. That took lots of emails until I copied Les Barrett from complains on 15th Feb - just for someone to find my payment. Then I requested for the account to be closed & a letter confirming that and a confirmation that the request has been sent to the bureau to update my profile. yesterday my banker pulled a bureau report on my ID, as I anticipated, none of the above-mentioned is done. The account is not closed and the bureau is not updated nor do I have a letter that requested. so a year ago one of the bank's employees didn't bother to verify records before recording debt review hold on my account & I never app**** for one. a year later I am clearing a mess that none of them even acknowledge the impact it made in my life. instead I have to beg them to close the account and update their records. that is not fair.<br> <br>
