Car paid off but i do not have papers of ownership

I paid off my car on the 25th of June but to date i have not received any communication or papers of ownership. I do not know the process that i should follow in this regard. Should the bank not contact me once i have finished paying to arrange how i will receive the documents or they will just be silent until i call them? how does it work? its almost three months that i have paid you in full.
