Car Loan application

I would like to complain about how my application to buy a car was rejected. I hold a critical skills visa valid up to mid 2017 and wanted to buy a car for RZZZZZZ. Me and my wife, we have a combined income of RZZZZZZ both amount were indicated on the application form and payslips submitted (and I bank with Standard Bank, account number ZZZ, they have the records of salaries being paid into the account). The instalment was coming to just below RZZZZZZ. <br> <br> What I do not understand is how can a bank refuse to give us the loan. Are loans only allowed to be taken out on long terms only as car loans, I reckon, start from 3 years OR is it that our income and expenses do not make us qualify for the loan OR plainly that we are do not use the SA green ID book.
