Can't buy house as Standard Bank gives no feedback.
We have been trying to get a home loan for more than two weeks. The credit department told us there were old accounts showing as unpaid of 10+ years ago. We told them it was all paid up 10+years ago and sent them the documents and paid-up letters. Since then we have not heard anything, when we call them, we have to hang on for 50+ plus, and nobody answers.
We are about to lose the house we want to buy as the owner cannot wait anymore and it doesn't look as if anyone from standard bank will assist us.
The worst, non existing service ever.

NOBODY at standard bank knows what they are doing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11
We have had thousands of phone calls and emails and NOBODY can assit.
All they say is contact the solvency department, if you contact them, the number just rings for hours with no answer.
The owner of the property we want to buy has given us another week to come up with a home loan but we know we won't get any assistance as this bank is just really bad at doing what they advertise.
We will be contacting the banking ombudsman too.
