Cant believe it

I had my standard bank account for more than 10 years and last year october i cancelled it due to the phatetic service,they stupid consultant the assited me with closing of my account never did it guess what happend the idiot never closed my account,so i got a lawyers letter stating they will list me on itc for outstanding balance of R3000 from my cheque account now today i got another letter for a loan i made balance owing is R2784.71 that it is outstanding and no payment has been recieved since january!Omw is this cliche or is standard bank doing this on purpose because i decided to close my account?
