Cannot transact out of SA
My brother is away on vacation in India. Upon landing in the country on 16th Feb 2016 he discovered that his account was frozen due to money being transferred into the account. He was forced to call back to Standard Bank in SA to have it unlocked.Today he has discovered that his account has been frozen again. Now without airtime to call back, and no access to his funds, he is unable to contact Standard Bank. He was able to contact me via a collect-call, and I called Standard Bank on his behalf, only to find out that Standard Bank is unwilling to contact him back to resolve this issue. The people I spoke to insist that the only way to help is for him to contact them directly. Nobody is taking ownership of the issue, and nobody is willing to go the extra mile to actually make contact with him. This reflects extremely poorly on Standard Bank's professionalism, as they are putting him at an inconvenience and have no interest in assisting.<br> He needs urgent assistance at the moment as he is unable to check into his hotel due to the frozen account. Will someone from Standard Bank step up and contact him?
