Can registering for internetbanking be any harder?
Once again dealing with Std Bank has been a painful experience. All I wanted to do was raise my internet banking transfer limit so I could pay an unexpected and quite substantial bill. So I went into a branch and stood in line for nearly an hour. I was then told that I couldn't do what i wanted because I didn't have the card (savings account) which I used to originally register for internet banking with me. Even though I had the card for the account I actually use for internet transactions (cheque account) which is linked to my internet banking profile. The cashier recommended registering that card for its own online access. Which seems an odd way of doing things but whatever. I just want to pay the bill and move on. But creating a 2nd online profile requires online registration. So when I got back to work I tired that. But the system wont let me register, because the cell phone number I have to enter for some reason isn't \loaded onto my main profile"(which took a half hour phone call to find out) even though they have it at the branch"
