Breach on Standard Bank Marketlink Account
I received a transaction notification from Standard Bank this morning. The notification informed me that R9500 worth of liquor was bought at a Merchant in Durban from my Marketlink account. The transaction was done by debit card at a speed point. It was a ********** transaction because I was sitting in my office in Johannesburg. The main problem is the fact that the Marketlink account is a savings account that I cannot access funds from at a speed-point. If I have insufficient funds in my main account I need to transfer money from the Marketlink into the main account through internet banking or make a withdrawal at the ATM. However, ****m away someone swiped for R9500 from the account with a debit card. Besides, I still had to endure 2 hours of BS from Standard Bank while I was trying to log a complaint and I still don't have an explanation or my money back.
