Breach of Contract
Hi,
I am extremely disappointed with the service I am receiving. I took out a revolving credit loan(not sure the year) which had a installment of R195, I then increased the loan amount and the total loan was R16000 with a new installment of around R400 which I signed for as a debit order. From then to now I was only debited R195. Years later I checked to find out how much more I have to pay to free this off and I am told I owe R41000? I was told the amount I am debited doesn’t cover the interest. I gave the bank authorization to debit the required amount yet you didn’t and now I must pay the interest? You are in breach of contact because you didn’t debit the amount I signed for.
I have called the call centre and they told me to go to the branch. Went to the branch and they tell me call the call centre?? I signed a contract with the branch not call centre. This is utterly disgusting. I want this matter resolved and there is no way I am paying R41000 for something which isn’t my fault. I signed a contract for the amount to be debited for the loan amount I took, if you didn’t then sort out your internal policies. Furthermore I want copies of the contracts I signed and with the loan amounts and period as this loan is way past cancellation. I am not paying for something which is not my problem and you cannot recalculate this as I cannot pay more.
I want this rectified ASAP, I have already sought legal advise.
