Bombarded with messages not intended for me
Somewhere someone is sitting with an overdrawn cheque account and may not know it.
Meanwhile, I - who have no account or dealing with Standard Bank whatsoever - am inundated with automated voice messages to ( ********** ) telling me about my overdrawn cheque account that must be addressed immediately.
I thought it would be a good idea to call the call centre number given in the message, but after a frustrating few minutes of being transferred from one number to the next, and a promise that this number will be removed, I STILL GET THE MESSAGES.
Next step then, I thought. Let's go on to their web site, use the "Contact Us" facility and report the problem. QED. Maybe it would have been, if they just had the decency to even acknowledge my complaint.
