Blue Bean credit card ***

On the 16 April 2015 I went to Stanton branch to obtain settlement amount on my credit card, they referred me to a cubicle where I phoned to get a settlement amount. The lady that I spoke to gave me the settlement amount and I paid it immediately. I told her I want to close the account should i call back once i have made the payment her answer was No they will close it.

After 1 year and 7 month to my surprise I received an sms not even a call from Standard bank from there lawyer (MBDCS) to inform me that i am in arrears with my credit card which I thought was close as per my original request.

A week ago I made payment arrangement after huge frustration even thought I feel I am not responsible for the outstanding amount because i was not the one who cancelled the debit order Standard bank stop debiting my account however now i must pay for their mistakes and for them not closing my account.

MBDCS debit my account on the 31 October 2016 for the first arrangement, now that can’t find my payment and keep on calling me on daily basis ever time different consultant not finding my payment.

I am really upset with both parties incompetency with regard to this. My request is to close my account and the amount to be wrote of as bad debt not my problem that Standard bank is *********** in doing their job.

How can you hand over your client to lawyer without call them really is this how they do business, I will never recommend anybody to Standard bank.
