BLAME IT ON POOR TECHNOLOGY

App**** for a Home loan on the 18th August ( this is my 3rd home loan previous 2 nearly paid off ) to date I have not yet been granted my 3rd loan . When I called to investigate what was happening , was told that the application was closed due to not receiving the documents . I proved Standard Bank Home loans that all was sent and provide various reference number . I was told by the floor supervisor this is be reopened and escalated . I spent 18th to 21st September trying to get closure of even for them to decline so I can move on to FNB who has promised me a pre approval within the hour . Sadly I was with Standard Bank for close to 30 years and always came to their defence at social or work gatherings . I had many of my friends complain and I always mentioned they are the best bank to be with . I wonder ...... no sure any more ...... Standard Bank's slogan moving forward ..... wow truth be said comparing their service to 15 - 20 years ago they are far behind to what they used to be . Standard bank has not moved forward but has gotten worse with their service levels . They have lost the meaning of service .

Hope they step up and smell the coffee , many of my friends have moved on from Standard bank yet I stayed loyal ..... wonder what for .

I spent 4 days calling spoke to various call centre agents , was told on Tuesday application not yet opened yet Monday I was promised it will be escalated and quick response will be received

Very disappointed
