Beware of expired Travel Wallets!

I currently have a Travel Wallet with GBP on it, the card, unfortunately has expired. Standard Bank do not offer a facility to move the forex to a new card. Nor do they allow you to extract the money in the currency that is on the card. Instead, I have to convert the money back to rands and cash out. Which means paying them to once again put it on a new card!? AND i have to buy a new card on top of their conversion fees. For money that's already converted. NEVER using them again!

Great! I get an email asking for more detail. Once I send that, I get exactly the same response. Sorry, we can't help you, please go to a branch and cash out the money. In other words, we can't assist, but we're happy to convert your money twice to get some more out of you. What was the point of asking for my details, when the answer wasn't going to change? Did you read the complaint at all?
