being threatened when you go to them to voice your problem
My parents bought a Land Rover from a VW dealership in Benoni, the car was second hand and of course it had to be checked if it's road worthy. From the start the garage told my parents they must come later on to collect the AA report. My parents took the car and called later if they can get the report because now the had the car in their possession for a month and the car was making sounds when braking, the wipers were not working when it's raining, meaning they have to stop by the side of the road. My parents went back to the dealer to tell them the problems they were having with the car, they asked the dealer to fix the wipers and the brake. The dealer told them they will do that and of course my parents were happy because they love the car. The dealer only fixed the wipes and gave them back the car. My parents realized the car was still making sounds when braking and shantung of the steering, they then went back to get the AA report and when they got the report it said it said the central ambush cracked, the dealer knew about this and that's the reason they did not want to give the report in the first place. My parents again went to dealer to try resolve the matter as my mother did not want to drive the car as it was risky to do so. By this time my parents had the car for only two months. My parents then went to the dealer to resolve the matter but were told they can't help them. At this point my mum was running around trying to get the dealer to fix the car, as my father was admitted in hospital for a bust appendix. When they called standard bank they told them to try talk to dealer and the dealer did nothing. My parents were then advised by standard bank to cancel the contract and pay for early termination , which was a fee of R2500.00 and the did and return the car to dealer. This was in May 2017 and my father account continue being debited every month for the car they didn't have by standard bank until September 2017. During these months my parents called Standard bank to help them as their customer to resolve the matter. At Standard bank Mr Martin Shaldon, Rayna Gray were helping with the complaint. Every time my parents would try set up appoints with Standard bank and the dealer they were told they can't see them. Mr Martin would send my parents threatening emails telling them, they will be blacklisted and they must pay For the car they did not have and when my parents tried telling them what the dealer is doing, they would tell my parents go talk to the dealer as they do not have communication with the dealer. But every time they send my parents emails they tell them what the dealer is telling them.Mr Martin and Mr Gray are saying they do not care about small customers at standard bank but only care about the dealerships they doing businesses with, dealerships who are selling their customers products that are not even road worthy, my parents did not want to cancel the deal but the treatment they got and the dealer wanting to force my parents to drive a car which is risk to their lives. How does standard bank continue taking money from my fathers account for months when they signed a cancellation at Standard bank and even paid a fee. Standard bank does not care about its consumers and what is written on the contracts, that if the customer is not happy with the product they can still return it. How can you do business with someone who shuts the door on ur face and tells you that you can do whatever you want I don't care? Standard bank goes on to take the side of the dealer and when my parents try arrange meetings they tell them it's not their problem, as they are not in communication with the dealer. All the email they send my parents are saying the dealer says that and this. How do they know this if they do not communicate and why are they chasing my parents away always when they coming to seek assistance from them. My mother is stressed all the time and has to get lifts from people yet they are paying for a car they don't have and standard bank says its none of their business. All they care about is going into my fathers account to take money. DOING BUSINESS WITH STANDARD BANK IS The same as COMMITTING SUICIDE??? you will be left alone in times of need. The way Mr Martin and Gray address my parents it's really sad.
