Being handed over withing 2 day of a Debt that's due for only one month

Good day standard bank handed over my account to its attorneys and it was up to date.... Until February the 28th 2026 on March the 2nd and of March I received an SMS saying I've been handed over for the installment which was due on the 28th of February 2026 which is 2 days later.... My account is fully paid for every month I was handed over for being 2 days late which the law doesn't permit. In South Africa, debt collection processes typically follow these timelines: - *30 days*: Initial overdue notice sent to the debtor - *60-90 days*: Account handed over to a debt collection agency - *6 months+*: If still unpaid, the creditor may hand over to attorneys for legal action
