Being done in by standard bank
My original bond was R1. 1mil. During the covid pandemic, I was offered payment holidays, Due to the current situation, I'm unable to afford my bond and decided to sell my property. Now, out of the blue, my bond settlement is R1 220 000. How is my bond settlement higher than my original bond amount? I've made 5 calls to standard bank and get conflicting stories.it's sad that at this time of financial crisis, with people battling to put food on their tables and having to resort to sell their possessions the banks want to do this to me. I had previously app**** for an access bond and was declined, so to me, only god knows how my bond settlement is higher than the original bond amount.
