*********** Bank with no respect to the public nor regulation and law.

I reported Standard Bank to the Ombudsman. They agreed to my complaint and I settled the account. They sent an email to me confirming that my account was paid up and the account was closed. Over 4 months later I received 2 letters. One demanding I immediately pay an overdue amount with threats. The 2nd letter informing me that I have an agreement with them for this account stating the terms. Further, they then stated that I had agreed to surety of R250,000.00 on my property. They have no regard for regulations and the law. They are *********, ***********, arrogant, and totally disrespectful. Take my experience seriously before considering this bank to invest in. I believe sincerely that this is a fair statement and a really bad experience.
