Bank does not pay interest on loans in credit

A home loan account I paid for 20 years by debit order submiited by Standard Bank ended in a credit balance.<br> This was due to the bank failing to cancel the debit order once the loan had been repaid.<br> They now refused to pay interest on the credit balance despite having use of the money.<br> Their response is as follows<br> \I have been in contact with the bond holder about the logged complaint. I have also explained to her that the home loan account is a credit facility and it does not bear any interest on a credit balance.<br> The matter had been addressed and closed<br> Should you wish to take it further with the Banking Ombudsman
