Bank charges
I was charged R100 for a honouring fee, I fail to understand why I was charged R100 as it wasn’t a debit order, not honoured, however the it was a international purchase fee, which I wasn’t aware off, not even aware, if, I was gonna be charged and how much it was going to be, I went to Standard Bank westgate mall branch to complain about this, LUCY LAMBAARD, a team leader UB, wasn’t of no help, and insisted that was the right gesture the bank initiated on my account

Thank you for reaching out to us.
An honoring fee is charged when a transaction is processed despite there being insufficient funds in your account. This usually applies to transactions that had not yet been banked by the merchant at the time.
The bank covers the shortfall to ensure the transaction is not declined, and the fee reflects that service.
We recommend reviewing your statement for any transactions that may have been banked late while there were insufficient funds available.
Please also note that service fees charged to your account are deducted from your available balance, including any latest and available funds.
Kindest regards,
Standard Bank Hello Peter Team
