Balance paid but still owe money!

<p>I was paying off a debt with Standard bank, every month I would call in to find out how much I owe. Eventually, early in December I called into Standard Bank to find out what my balance was, I was told it was R14 600+, I then use a portion of my bonus and settled this, feeling festive I went into the bank to close the account and was told I still owed R2950! When I told the man at Standard Bank in canal walk what had happened he simply said there was nothing I could do and that I would have to pay the money to close and settle the account! If you listen to the last call on my profile you will here that the balance I was quoted and what I paid was correct! This is so unacceptable!</p>
