Bad service: No feedback or answers from Standard bank.
Really disappointed with standard Bank home loans. During 2020 I received Covid relief fund on my homeloan. This was extended due the length of the lockdown. I also lost my job in this period so I was very thankful. However, the relief expired in September. End of October, payment on the house did not go through, but I was starting a new job beginning of November. I received a call from Standard bank enquiring on why my homeloan payment did not go through. I explained that I only got a new job then, but would be able to start paying from end of November again. She informed me that they will extend the Covid relief to end of November, and I would have to start paying again then. End of November my payment went through as per normal, same with December and January. However,on 14 December they tried to debit my account again, after the installment went off end of November. I called in to enquire why,as this leaves another bad mark on my credit score. They informed me that my Covid relief ended end of September and that my account is in arrears. I asked the lady to listen to the recordings where the consultant called me in October and extended the relief. She could not trace back any call. After being transferred to numerous departments and spending 30mins on the phone, they had no record of it. I sent an email through to Standard bank on 15 December, I received a request for info back from Vinolia Ndlovu on the 7th of January. I rep**** with the info ,but haven't received any feedback from her yet. I did a credit score check end of January, where I found out my account shows in arrears at ITC, meaning that even after receiving relief, and my payment going off as per normal for November, December and January, my name still reflects bad at credit ratings as it shows my account is in arrears.
Can someone from Standard Bank please contact me and sort this mess out? JC Kotze Email: *** Cell: ***
