BAD SERVICE and possible OVERCHARGING of fees in STANDARD BANK [100 RANDS CHARGED FOR STUDENT ACHIEVER]
I have had a Student Achiever account since I was in school and have been very busy since I graduated from University and then all the lockdown levels started and I have no intention of going to the bank. I am unemployed and the only income in my account is the government's SRD grant.
At some point my bank charges rocketed up to almost if not more than 100 rands every month for many months now. Yes I am no longer a student however in what world can I be walking into a bank branch when the general public has such a hard time following protocols for preventing covid spreading.
I have only this 350 rands on a very inconsistent basis. And standard bank having never notified me that they OBVIOUSLY changed my account type to something I never asked for and never consented to. I have been ****** of many many rands since this silent and very offputting change happened. I only have this account because I need this grant as this is my only income source until I have a job.
Bank charges are not even on my sms notifications so I do not even know what the amount that is being wrenched out of my account is, I could be getting overcharged numerous times over and I wont even know. My account actually went into the negative despite leaving 70 something rands in there the last time I drew out in January/February.
I dont know what kind of game this bank is playing. Im disgusted with the way they handle things. I feel extremely ****** and violated by this bank
