Bad Service
My late father opened 2 Investment account with standardbank at Mafikeng branch, was a 5 five investments. it was a flexible, meaning he can withdraw anytime. It was in June & July 2002. We never hear anything from standardbank after maturity time (2007) or anytime until he passed , when we try to close his accounts. My mom is the sole beneficiary & she is 87 today, so she can't run after standandbank all the time. I was in North west & we went to the bank, to check status of the account, I was told Financial advisor is not available, is offsick, hospitalised & i must call the branch to check when he will be available. I don't stay in North West. I asked to see the manager, She was very rude to me she said they cannot help me, if i need the documents/statements i must subpoena them, so I asked her, if it happen the Financial advisor resign or pass, no one can do his job, he took Standardbank with him. that branch will close door.

This matter was escalated to the deceased estates team to advise further. I will follow up with them to find out what happened on the matter.
On the 3rd February i wrote to the Bank, asking for progress report, as i was promised he/she will check with deceased estates team, up to date, i'm still waiting.
Standardbank they don't respect their clients, that's the reason my late father died before he can get his investments, I mean the account was open in 2002 , supposed to mature 2007. He never got any communication from the bank.
