Bad Service

On Saturday the 8th I went to withdraw cash at a standard bank ATM in Randburg, I withdrew R500 and I chose no on the option of getting a receipt as I usually do, the amount that I received was R400 and the sms notification confirmed that I withdrew R500. yesterday which was on Monday I went to a standard branch in Pretoria central to query that transection. I stood on the queue for enquiries and when it was time to be serviced I was sent to another front desk for consultants and when I got there the guy asked for the slip for that transection and I told him that I chose not to get one, what I did not understand is why is standard bank gives us options to get the slip of not to get one when they know very well that slip is a requirement if there's a problem with that transaction? the advised me that I must go back to the very same ATM, make some sort of a transaction and get a slip that I bring it to them, I had a couple of reservations about that also, first one being having been at the bank for a while and not being able to assisted, secondly the time of having to go back to ATM for the ATM number whilst you've got my records of transactions. I went back to the ATM and got the slip and I went back to the bank this morning and I found a different face on the front desk and I explained my story again and I told her that I was turned away yesterday and she rudely rep**** by saying "you were not turned away you just didn't have required documents", my issue with that is besides he being rude and arrogant if that slip is a requirement why is it optional to get it on the ATM. I also tried to address the issue of having to queue again and her response was that " the guy you met with yesterday is not here now, I'm the one who's here and today is a different day", after realizing that I was not winning that either I decided to go and queue which took forever, when I finally decided to give up because of other work commitments I decided to go back to her to let her know that I could not wait any longer, since she did not have her name tag I asked for her name and she told me that she was lebo and I asked her for her surname and her response was why do I want to know her surname and I told her that since I'll still be following on that query I wanted to know who I've spoken to especially after not getting the details of a guy who turned me away yesterday, at this moment there were about two or three of her colleagues who were standing by looking on and her response was " following up with the query has nothing to do with my surname". I was shocked and disappointed that a bank I've used for almost two decades can treat me in that manor and I'm asking myself if it's the banks position to discourage us on such queries. the bottom line is I got less money on the ATM and the service that I cannot even explain at the branch.......
