Bad service

Good evening. I would like to express my disappointment in Standard Bank. I have been a client of Standard Bank for years. My husband lost his business in 2009 and was liquidated. We tried debt review because we didn't want to lose our house. We unfortunately had to withdraw from debt review and were sequestrated in 2010. We were rehabilitated in 2015. Because we are married in community of property, my name was also blacklisted. I personally went to Standard bank The Grove branch to clear my name. I provided them with the withdrawal from debt review letter, the rehabilitation court order as well as the notice from all credit bureau's of our names been cleared. I was declined twice, once for a credit card application and secondly for a personal loan. Reason being 'debt review'. I spoke to numerous consultants to clear my name, but still nothing. We received a R1,6 million home loan from another financial institution. I was approved by another bank for a credit card. I have two retail accounts. How is it that other institutions can provide me with credit but not my own bank???!! Im considering closing my accounts with Standard bank and moving it to another, because Standard bank is not willing to go the extra mile. I've complained on Facebook and then thought that something positive is happening. I was sadly mistaken, that was two months ago, i'm still waiting for someone to tell me whether my loan will be approved or not. Why do you go through all the humiliation of being black listed and losing your assets, have to endure years of no credit application and then 2 more years of rehabilitation and it's a struggle to get credit from a bank? Does it mean that when you'VE been declared insolvent, then you're doomed forever?

I would like to say thank you for the quick response from Standard Bank, but it was a total waste of time. After I've been informed that my profile have been cleared from debt review status, I believed that I would be able to re-apply for a loan, I was declined again because now I have to be rehabilitated for 12 months before I can apply for any credit. I was seen by a manager at Standard Bank the Grove Mall Salome Malatji and she said that they can't approve it because I've only been taken off debt review on the 27th. I informed her that I have been withdrawn from debt review in 2010 when we were sequestration. We've been rehabilitated in 2015. I told her that I personally came into Standard Bank to inform them that I've been rehabilitated. Is it my problem that Alisha Pillay and Elizabeth Seloane has not done their job properly in 2015, by removing me off debt review? She had a very bad attitude when I explained to her that we received a R1.6 million home loan, how is it that Standard Bank can not lent me R25 000? She answered that I should go to that bank and apply for a loan, if they want to do reckless banking, then it's up to them. She imp**** that I had no idea what sequestration is. She told me that we declared ourselves insolvent and she wasn't interested in listening to my reason. I've never been so insulated in my life. Standard Bank is losing yet another client
