bad customer service/ STD consultants does not know their product

I have a cheuqe account with STD bank and my account was handed over to collections because there were no funds coming in, collections department called me to tell me that i owe R1700 and they also advised that i can down grade the card to savings once i made full payment. Saturday the 26th i payedR4100 to my account and they dedicated R1700 of which i am okay with it. Unfortunately currently i cannot use the card, i called the bank numerous time and i am being sent from pillar to post. I was advice to call collections to have the card unblocked and they couldn't assist me was advised to call the collection company which they also cannot assist me. Every consultant i speak to tells me different things. no one can assist me
