ATM retain card now i have no internetbanking

This weekend one of the Standardbank ATM's retained my card due to a failure of the ATM's back up systems. As there is no signs with contact numbers for the bank i had to return home to get a number and phone the bank.

I reported the issue to card division and requested the card to be cancelled as i was unsure if the card will be retain or returned once the power came back on. During this process i was assured that i will get all my details back when i get a new card to sign into internet banking. It was also affirmed that the branch will be able to give me my new card number that i can use for internet banking.

The branch supp**** me with a debit card that i found will have a different number that the new card i will receive. I logged in with the new card number into internet banking and nothing was linked and no history was available.

Phoning internetbank i was told that i can get my accounts linked again and my benne fisheries loaded again but no transaction history. But that i will have two cards now one for internet banking an one for my cheq account.

This is not what i was told in the first instance. I want my old detail back and my cancelled card returned and unblocked.
