My card was cloned at a Standard Bank ATM in Braamfontein on Saturday the 29th of November 2014 and an amount of R5000 was drawn from my account. I tried to block my card immediately after it had been swallowed by the machine but it was already too late as I received a notification on my phone saying the money had already been drawn at a different ATM which still baffles me . I also don't understand how there aren't any camera's there.

I lodged a complaint at the Sandton Branch the following day and I was left very disappointed by the service I received and the manner in which the consultant dealt with the complaint. Shewas very dismissive, unhelpful and kept implying that it was entirely my fault which left me discouraged and hopeless. Needless to say, I was advised to contact their ***** department for further investigations and a possible refund but nothing positive came from that. Halfheartedly, I tried countless times to get help and also valid reasons as to why the Bank refused to compensate me even though it was quite apparent that my card had been cloned, like why would a sane person draw so much money let alone go through t
